David is a highly accomplished CEO with a track record over 30 years of delivering growth for Banks and Technology start-ups. He is currently a Director of the Faster Payments Scheme Limited and has held Non-Executive Director positions with Reliance Bank and The University of Northumbria, where he was also Chairman of the Enterprise Advisory Group.
Keith is responsible for all the bank’s trading activities. He started the Wholesale Currency Services and related Foreign Exchange business when he joined the bank in 2013. Keith has spent his career as a specialist in Wholesale Currency Services (WCS), having set up similar businesses around the world, for organisations such as Republic National Bank of NY, Citibank, Thomas Cook, Barclays and Bank of Ireland.
Antonio has over 25 years banking experience. He has held senior posts in Operations, IT and Legal departments. He is a dual-qualified lawyer under English and Spanish law. He is IFQ qualified and set up the Islamic Banking unit for EAB Bank in London. Before that, Antonio was part of the project team that prepared the launch of a new subsidiary for Arab Bank plc in Europe. He was Vice-president at Arab Bank plc in Spain where he was in charge of the IT, Customer Services, Data Protection and Legal departments. He also worked as Head of IT at Westdeutsche Landesbank AG in Spain and for Commerzbank AG.
Gabriela is an accomplished Risk professional with over 25 years’ experience in Banking and Financial Services. Her career includes international roles previously working in Europe, Africa and South America. Prior to BFC Bank she was Chief Risk Officer for Jordan International Bank in London. She also held leadership roles in UK and Angola for Banco Espirito Santo where she was responsible for establishing, managing and controlling the risk function in those countries. Gabriela has a business administration degree, an executive master in capital markets and she is a certified coach.
Gary is a compliance practitioner with over 25 years experience. He has advised and led regulatory initiatives at major financial institutions. Prior to joining BFC Bank, he held AML related consulting roles at Turing Experts, HSBC, BDO UK, RBS and BT Pension Scheme Management. Before that, Gary was Head of Compliance and MLRO at ABN AMRO Bank and Exane BNP Paribas.
Muj is responsible for Finance and Treasury with over 20 years experience in financial services and the banking sector. Before he joined BFC Bank, Muj was CFO at London Business Bank and a senior finance consultant at Deutsche Bank. Prior to this he was Chief Financial Officer at Dexia Bank, with responsibility for strategic alignment of the UK bank to meet the group's objectives after the financial crises of 2008. He spent over ten years in the Banking and Capital Markets team at Deloitte where he worked on a wide range of bank client and advisory assignments. Muj is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
Robert has over 35 years banking experience in management roles. He is an industry-leading expert on Small to Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and was head of a business centre that specialised in SMEs at the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS). He spent much of his career at NatWest. Before he joined BFC Bank, Robert was head of wholesale banknote dealing at the RBS for over 4 years. Prior to that he was head of market coverage, charities and public sector for six years.
Catherine is a recognised relationship management expert. She has a proven track record in coverage of bank and non-bank Financial Institutions, across transaction services and global markets products. Her expertise is founded on over 20 years at major international financial services companies in Europe and Asia, where she was responsible for key client relationships.
"I have considerable knowledge in regulatory, compliance, AML and CTF requirements, which are essential to manage bank and non-bank Payment Service Providers. Mark has worked in retail and commercial banking for over 35 years in a variety of traditional bank manager roles for Midland Bank and then HSBC. The last 15 years focused in the Commercial and International sectors to support SMEs with turnovers from Â£5 million upwards. Mark was responsible for credit facilities to international SMEs and bespoke products to help clients achieve their goals.
